The invention relates to a panel-fastening system (1) comprising a panel (2), in particular a fiber cement panel, with a visible face (3) and a rear face (4); at least one groove (5), which is introduced into the rear face (4) of the panel (2) and extends along a longitudinal axis (L), comprising at least one stop surface (6), wherein a first groove section (7) extends between the at least one stop surface (6) and the rear face (4), and a second groove section (9) extends between the at least one stop surface (6) and the groove base (8); and at least one fastening element (10) which is inserted into the groove (5) and comprises a fastening section (11) and a contact surface (12), the contact surface (12) of the fastening element (10) striking the at least one stop surface (6). The panel-fastening system (1) additionally comprises at least one fixing element (13) which can be arranged in the groove (5), and the at least one fastening element (10) is fixed by the at least one fixing element (13) so as to prevent a movement in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L).
