An earthmoving machine is disclosed to which a bucket is attached or attachable, wherein the bucket is able to be lowered in order to scoop up material, and the bucket is also able to be raised in order to lift any material that is in the bucket, the machine is capable of locomotion and is able to move with material in the bucket and also with the bucket empty, movement of the machine, and operation of the bucket, are able to be controlled by an operator from a location that is remote from the machine, and the machine is able to fit into, and to move along within, a pipe or culvert that has a circular internal diameter of 1200 mm, and the bucket can be lowered to scoop up material and raised to lift that material while the machine is within the pipe or culvert and the machine can move along within the pipe or culvert with the material in the bucket.
