Described is a hinged sliding assembly (400) for a pool cover assembly (108) including a slider member (300) having a rod member (308) and defining an opening (302), wherein the slider member is coupleable to a pool cover (109); and a hinged rope lock member (200) coupled to the rod member and positioned at least partially within the opening, wherein the hinged rope lock member is coupleable to a rope (604) of the pool cover.
