A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract The present invention is broadly directed to a decking fastener assembly 10 comprising: 1. a base mounting 12 adapted for fixing to a support member such as a floor joist; 2. a plurality of pivoting clips 14a to 14d pivotally mounted to the base mounting 12 at predetermined spacings along said strip 12. The pivoting clips 14a to 14d are equally-spaced at a distance slightly greater than the width of a decking board to be placed between an adjacent pair of pivoting clips such as 14a and 14b. The fastener assembly 10 is designed whereby placement of the decking board between the adjacent pair of pivoting clips 14a/b effects pivotal movement of at least one of the clips, in this instance clip 14b, into engagement with the decking board to anchor it to the base mounting 12 between the adjacent pair of pivoting clips 14a/b. 0) tw
