Method for constructing a concrete floor in a multistorey building
- 40 Abstract A method of constructing a multi-storey building, including: pre-fabricating a building module off-site, the 5 building module comprising a concrete floor fixed to and supporting a permanent outer wall so that the outer wall is supported outwardly adjacent of a side edge of the floor and extends vertically upward from the side edge, the outer wall defining part of a facade of the building, 10 wherein the outer wall is supported by the floor via connecting means embedded in the floor such that the connecting means between the outer wall and floor is configured to bear the load of the outer wall during transportation of the building module to the installation 15 location without need for additional load-bearing support; transporting the building module to a construction site and assembling the building module by crane vertically above and/or adjacent an already installed building module, whereby the outer wall forms an external safety 20 barrier; horizontally joining the concrete floor with an adjacent concrete floor slab of the already installed building module, thereby forming a concrete floor of a building.
