The invention relates to a vehicle restraint system (1) having a concrete barrier wall (2), the concrete divider wall (2) having at least one through-hole (3). Located in a substrate (4) beneath the at least one through-hole (3) is a blind hole (5) associated with the at least one through-hole (3), a pin (6) being located both within the at least one through-hole (3) and within the blind hole (5) associated with the at least one through-hole (3). According to the invention, the pin (6) has a predefinable amount of play with respect to the blind hole (5).
