JAMB ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING JAMB ASSEMBLIES
Disclosed is a jamb assembly comprising a first profiled member and a second profiled member. The first profiled member has a generally L-shaped cross section and comprises a first abutment member and a second abutment member forming the legs of said L shape. The second profiled member has a generally L-shaped cross section and comprises a first abutment member and a second abutment member forming the legs of said L shape. The first and second profiled members are configured to be mounted to a structure by fixing the first abutment members of the first and second profiled members to opposite parallel sides of the structure near or at an edge of the structure delimiting an opening, so that the second abutment members of the first and second profiled members line the structure along the opening. The second abutment member of the second profiled member is configured to overlap the second abutment member of the first profiled member when the first and second profiled members are mounted to the structure. The second abutment member of the second profiled member comprises a protruding portion providing an abutment surface for a door or window closing the opening. Also disclosed are an adjustable window or door frame and architrave assembly, and a method for fixing a doorjamb and architrave assembly to a doorway opening. 330\35 3 214 7"240
