Improved Davit
The present invention is directed to an improved davit 10 used for abseiling purposes and adapted to anchor to a parapet roof 12. The improved davit 10 broadly comprises: 1. a davit base assembly 20; 2. a mast base assembly 22 associated with a mast and configured for rotation about the davit base assembly 20. The davit base assembly 20 comprises a mounting plate sub-assembly 26 adapted to anchor to the roof 12, and a removable base sub-assembly 28 configured to cooperate with the mounting plate sub-assembly 26. The mast base assembly 22 includes roller bearing arrangement 30 configured for contact with a sleeve 32 of the removable base sub-assembly 28 during rotation of the mast 24 and the associated mast base assembly 22 about the davit base assembly 20.
