The invention discloses a reciprocating drive device, a breaking hammer, a pile driving hammer and a tamper in the technical field of engineering machines to solve the problem of a large pressure loss of hydraulic oil, a small compression ratio of a gaseous medium and the small stroke of a piston rod of reciprocating drive devices in the prior art. The reciprocating drive device comprises an inner cylinder barrel, a piston assembly, a valve body, an outer cylinder barrel and a hammer assembly, wherein the valve body is provided with an oil inlet, an oil outlet, an oil inlet valve and an oil outlet valve, the outer cylinder barrel is arranged outside the inner cylinder barrel and formed with a gaseous medium cavity, and the hammer assembly is arranged at a tail end of a piston rod. The pressure loss of hydraulic oil in the flowing process is small, the compression ratio of a gaseous medium is high, and the stroke of the piston rod is long; and integration of control parts is realized, the overall structural compactness of the reciprocating drive device is improved, self-locked connection between the piston rod and a hammer can be realized, and vibrating impacts generated in the operating process of the piston rod can be buffered and absorbed, thus reducing the possibility of faults such as fractures of the piston rod and prolonging the service life of the reciprocating drive device.
