The present invention relates to a mineral wool mat (1) comprising at least a plurality of mineral fibres stacked on top of each other and side by side within the mineral wool mat (1), the mineral fibres being rigidly connected to one another by means of thermally bonding fibres, the volume density of the mineral wool mat (1) being less than 40 kg.m-3 and the thickness of the mineral wool mat (1) being greater than 50 mm.
