TITANIUM DIBORIDE WETTABLE CATHODE
The present disclosure relates to a titanium diboride wettable cathode, comprising: a titanium diboride cold-pressed sintered block, wherein the titanium diboride cold-pressed sintered block comprises titanium diboride and an additive, and the additive comprises graphite, carbon fibers and titanium nitride; and a titanium diboride coating coated on the surface of the titanium diboride cold-pressed sintered block. By adopting measures such as carbon fiber reinforcement, titanium nitride assisted sintering, and isostatic pressing, the present disclosure greatly improves the strength and density of a cold-pressed sintered composite block and reduces the required sintering temperature, so that the present disclosure can adopt a low-cost cold pressing sintering process, the structure size is not limited, the thermal shock resistance is high, and the machining is easier; and meanwhile, the surface of the titanium diboride cold-pressed sintered block is coated with a titanium diboride coating, and thus the performance of the surface of the prepared titanium diboride wettable cathode can reach a level close to that of pure titanium diboride ceramics.
