Composite slab comprising recycled glass
A composite slab comprising recycled glass and a process of manufacturing the same are described herein. In some embodiments or examples, the composite slab comprises a) about 65% to about 95% (w/w) of milled recycled glass; and b) about 5% to about 35% (w/w) of a cured polyester resin, and can be prepared by curing a mixture of milled recycle glass and a polyester resin in a die to form the composite slab under a suitable pressure and temperature. Mix milled recycled glass with polyester resin Optionally add wetting agent, filler, pigment and/or dye Add initiator Optionally add further pigment and/or dye Pour glass/resin/hardener mixture into moulding tray Cure mixture under pressure and heat Remove composite slab from mould
