A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A guard member for use in the installation of a water vapour barrier during construction of a structure having a foundation using a formwork defining a perimeter of the foundation to be poured to reduce and/or eliminate rising damp, the guard member comprising a first planar member and a second planar member arranged orthogonally and joined together along respective lateral sides of the first planar member and the second planar member; wherein one of the first planar member or the second planar member is affixable to a surface of the water vapour barrier such that the other of the first planar member or the second planar member firmly abuts an internal vertical surface of the formwork adjacent the foundation to be poured. 40 -50 14 100 10 12
