A simple and economical foot plate assembly with a removeable tounge for fence strainer assemblies for the purpose of supporting the stay and connecting the stay footplate and tension rod/cable. The removeable tounge is held in place by insertion beneath an over 5 strap set between two recessed pans, that are formed entirely from the one single piece of material that makes up the footplate.
