ROOF TO POST ADJUSTABLE HOLD DOWN DEVICE
A connector to connect a pair of components of a building and transfer a load from one to the other. The connector comprising a pair of members, each to be connected to a respective one of the components, and an adjustable abutment acting between the members to inhibit relative movement between the members in one direction. The ratchet mechanism acting between the members to permit movement in the one direction and to inhibit relative movement in an opposite direction, whereby adjustment of the abutment to cause relative movements in the one direction is accommodated by the ratchet mechanism.
Un connecteur pour connecter une paire de composants dun bâtiment et transférer une charge dun à lautre. Le connecteur comprenant une paire déléments, chacun devant être connecté à un composant respectif, et une butée réglable agissant entre les éléments pour empêcher le mouvement relatif entre les éléments dans une direction. Le mécanisme à cliquet agissant entre les éléments pour permettre le mouvement dans la direction et empêcher le mouvement relatif dans une direction opposée, le réglage de la butée pour causer des mouvements relatifs dans la direction étant adapté par le mécanisme à cliquet.
