AERIAL WORK APPARATUS WITH LATERALLY OFFSET WORK PLATFORM
An aerial work apparatus comprising a mobile chassis having a longitudinal centerline, a lift mechanism such as a scissors lift having a lower end connected to the chassis and an upper end which supports a work platform. The work platform has a longitudinal centerline which is laterally spaced from and parallel to the longitudinal centerline of the chassis such that the platform is laterally offset relative to the chassis and lift mechanism for substantially stabilizing the apparatus when handling heavy loads positioned at one side of the platform.
Un appareil de travail en hauteur comporte un châssis mobile ayant une ligne centrale longitudinale, un mécanisme de levage comme un élévateur à ciseaux comporte une extrémité inférieure reliée au châssis et une extrémité supérieure qui soutient une plateforme de travail. La plateforme de travail comporte une ligne centrale longitudinale qui est espacée latéralement de ligne centrale du châssis et parallèle à ladite ligne centrale de sorte que la plateforme est décalée latéralement par rapport au châssis et au mécanisme de levage de manière à stabiliser substantiellement lappareil lors de la manutention de charges lourdes positionnées dun côté de la plateforme.
