RECESSED LIGHTING ENCLOSURE AND INSULATION BARRIER
A recessed lighting enclosure comprises a housing having an open bottom, at least first and second side walls, a tapered roof, and an opening in the roof. The roof opening can optionally be covered with a flap, and is preferably overhung by an eve. The housing can be made of a cardboard or other foldable or readily cut panel, internally lined with fiberglass or other insulation. The insulation can advantageously extend below the bottom of the panel. Panels can be manufactured and shipped in a flattened shipping configuration. Assembly can use chemical, mechanical, or any other suitable mechanical connectors. Once installed, mats, batts, blown or any other type of insulation can be disposed about the housing.
Il est décrit un luminaire encastré comprenant un boîtier dont le côté inférieur est ouvert, au moins la première et la deuxième parois latérales, un toit conique et une ouverture du toit. Louverture du toit peut être recouverte dun rabat et elle comprend préférablement un avant-toit en surplomb. Le boîtier peut se composer de carton ou dun autre type de panneau pliable et facile à couper revêtu de fibre de verre ou dun autre type disolant. Le revêtement isolant peut sallonger avantageusement sous la partie inférieure du panneau. Les panneaux peuvent être fabriqués et expédiés selon une configuration dexpédition aplatie. Lassemblage peut se faire à laide de produits chimiques, de produits mécaniques ou de nimporte quel autre type de raccord mécanique convenable. Une fois le boîtier installé, on peut lentourer disolant rigide, semi-rigide ou soufflé.
