ABRASIVE MATERIAL SPREADER DEVICE FOR MOTORIZED VEHICLES
An abrasion material spreader device for depositing a quarry rock particle material on a road surface in front of at least some of the traction wheels of a motorized vehicle is described. The quarry rock particle material has a particle size in the range of about 1/8 to 4/16 inches. The spreader device has a storage compartment provided with a controllable dispensing assembly which consists of a chute defined between a lower wall section of the chute and an upper angulated particle deflector guide wall in the storage compartment. The rotatable dispensing rotor obstructs the chute and is driven to discharge controlled amounts of a quarry rock material at an outlet of the chute.
