IMPROVED BARRIER CONSTRUCTION
A roadway, guard rail or safety barrier having a post and beam construction wherein the beam is mounted to the post by means of a carriage, the beam being secured to the carriage by a securement means, the carriage being adapted to travel longitudinally relative to the post in the event of a collision, the post further including at least one carriage support means, and one or more engagement means on an outer face of the post, the engagement means being adapted to be engaged by the securement means to provide resistance to movement of the carriage with respect to the post, wherein the carriage is sized and shaped so as to not engage or to minimise engagement with the engagement means during the movement.
La présente invention concerne une chaussée, une glissière de sécurité ou barrière de sécurité présentant une construction faite de poteaux et de poutres, la poutre étant montée sur le poteau au moyen d'une bride, la poutre étant fixée à la bride par un moyen de fixation, la bride étant conçue pour se déplacer longitudinalement relativement au poteau en cas de collision, le poteau comprenant en outre au moins un moyen de support de bride, et un ou plusieurs moyens de mise en prise sur une face extérieure du poteau, le moyen de mise en prise étant conçu pour venir en prise avec le moyen de fixation pour assurer une résistance au déplacement de la bride par rapport au poteau, la bride étant dimensionnée et formée de manière à ne pas venir en prise ou pour limiter au minimum la prise avec les moyens de mise en prise au cours du déplacement.
