A worker safety device for use with an object having a person support surface, the device comprising: a hinged device frame positionable on said object; a frame fastener coupled to the device frame configured to detachably fasten the device frame to the object; an attachment means, attached to the device frame, configured and positioned to attach a personal harness system to the device frame; whereby a person on said surface using the hinged device frame can prevent a fall from said surface by attaching the personal harness to the attachment means.
