MANUALLY OPERABLE PUSH FROM BEHIND SPREADER
A manually operable spreader which can be moved from behind on a surface is especially suitable for distributing salt and other particulate materials which tend to conglomerate or clump in a hopper of the spreader. Wheels are mounted to a frame also support the hopper. A horizontal drive shaft between the wheels is coupled to rotate a vertical shaft. A distributor below the hopper rotates with vertical shaft rotation to distribute particulate material which drop via openings in the bottom of the hopper. The vertical shaft extends via a hole in bottom of hopper and carries at the top thereof an auger having a helical vane. The auger is rotatable with the vertical shaft as the spreader is moved on its wheels. The auger circulates the particulate material in the hopper as the spreader moves while directing material in the hopper towards the bottom thereof.
Une épandeuse à commande manuelle qui peut être déplacée de larrière sur une surface est particulièrement adaptée pour distribuer du sel et dautres matériaux particulaires qui ont tendance à sagglomérer ou à se regrouper dans une trémie de lépandeuse. Des roues sont montées sur un cadre supportant également la trémie. Un arbre dentraînement horizontal entre les roues est couplé pour faire tourner un arbre vertical. Un distributeur sous la trémie tourne avec une rotation darbre vertical pour distribuer un matériau particulaire qui chute par lintermédiaire douvertures dans le fond de la trémie. Larbre vertical s'étend par lintermédiaire dun trou dans le fond de la trémie et porte au sommet de celle-ci une tarière ayant une aube hélicoïdale. La tarière peut tourner avec larbre vertical lorsque le palonnier est déplacé sur ses roues. La tarière fait circuler le matériau particulaire dans la trémie lorsque lépandeuse se déplace tout en dirigeant le matériau dans la trémie vers le fond de celle-ci.
