GYPSUM BOARD WITH IMPROVED STARCH BINDER
Gypsum board having improved performance is obtained by controlling the distribution of starch in the gypsum core of the board and the gelling temperature of the starch. Starch migration in the board is controlled by the degree of acid-modification, to adjust the starch viscosity profile. The starch gelling temperature is controlled by chemical modification of the starch -OH groups.
Des panneaux de gypse aux performances améliorées sont obtenus en régulant la répartition de l'amidon dans la partie centrale en gypse du panneau, ainsi que la température de gélification de l'amidon. La migration de l'amidon dans le panneau est régulée par le degré de modification par des acides afin d'ajuster le profil de viscosité de l'amidon. La température de gélification de l'amidon est régulée par la modification chimique des groupes -OH de l'amidon.
