MANUFACTURING OF DECORATIVE LAMINATES BY INKJET
A method for manufacturing decorative laminates including the steps of: a) impregnating a paper substrate with a thermosetting resin by submersion of the paper substrate in a bath of thermosetting resin; b) applying on the thermosetting resin impregnated paper substrate an ink acceptance layer containing an inorganic pigment P and a polymeric binder B having a weight ratio P/B of inorganic pigment to polymeric binder of larger than 1.5; c) jetting on the ink acceptance layer a colour pattern with one or more aqueous pigmented inkjet inks and/or organic solvent based pigmented inkjet inks containing a colour pigment C; and d) heat pressing the thermosetting paper into a decorative laminate, wherein the weight ratio P/C of the inorganic pigment of the ink acceptance layer to the jetted colour pigment in the colour pattern is larger than 4Ø
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de stratifiés à usage décoratif comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) imprégner un substrat de papier au moyen d'une résine thermodurcissable par immersion du substrat de papier dans un bain de résine thermodurcissable ; b) appliquer sur le substrat de papier imprégné de résine thermodurcissable une couche imprimable à l'encre contenant un pigment inorganique P et un liant polymère B ayant un rapport pondéral P/B entre le pigment inorganique et le liant polymère supérieur à 1,5 ; c) projeter sur la couche imprimable à l'encre un motif en couleur avec une ou plusieurs encres de jet d'encre pigmentées aqueuses et/ou encres de jet d'encre pigmentées à base de solvant organique contenant un pigment de couleur C ; et d) presser à chaud le papier thermodurcissable en un stratifié à usage décoratif, le rapport pondéral P/C entre le pigment inorganique de la couche imprimable à l'encre et le pigment de couleur projeté dans le motif en couleur étant supérieur à 4,0.
