WATERCRAFT LIFT AND AUTOMATIC WATERCRAFT COVER
Watercraft covers are often large and awkward to manually handle, making them difficult to install on a watercraft and to store on-board the watercraft. The covers are also often dirty, and unpleasant to handle. The present invention provides a watercraft covering apparatus with pivot arms moved by at least one actuation member to self-install a fitted three-dimensional watercraft cover on a watercraft using a torsion spring in conjunction with a roller to keep the cover tight on the roller when pivot arms supporting the roller are pivoted rearward by the actuation member and self-roll the cover off the roller when the pivot arms supporting the roller are pivoted forward by the actuation member. A slip clutch prevents the torsion spring from being over tightened. The forward position of the roller is adjusted by adjusting the length of the actuation member, typically a retractable member such as a hydraulic cylinder. The rearward position of the roller is adjusted by limiting the retracted position of the actuation member.
