SMALL FOOTPRINT FOUNDATION FOR CABLE CABINETS
A foundation assembly for a cabinet adapted for housing a component connected to an underground communication cable. The foundation assembly comprises an underground sub-assembly and an above ground sub-assembly mounted thereto. The underground sub-assembly comprises an elongated body having a top end and a bottom end, an interior surface and an exterior surface, and an elongated passage defined by the interior surface. The underground sub-assembly also comprises projection components extending outwardly from the exterior surface of the elongated body and defining ground-interfacing surfaces preventing rotation of the foundation assembly, and an aperture in the elongated body connecting to the elongated passage. It comprises a fixation component to mount the underground sub-assembly, the above ground sub-assembly and the cabinet to be mounted together. After installation, the underground communication cable travels from underground to the cabinet throughout the aperture and the elongated passage.
