SHROUDED ROOF VENT FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle air vent includes a cover having a ceiling and sidewalls defining an interior region, and a plate-receiving opening that opens into the interior region. The cover has a vent opening into the interior region and transverse to the plate-receiving opening. The interior region, plate-receiving opening, and vent opening define an air passage. A damper in the interior region is moveable between a closed position blocking fluid communication through the passage and an open position. An interior plate cooperates with the cover to define a damper chamber, the damper pivotably coupled to the interior plate. A sidewall defines an outlet opening in fluid communication with the vent opening and the interior region. The cover includes an outlet coupled to the sidewall to cover the outlet opening. The outlet includes an awning including a flap, tab ends, and grill retainer. A grill is coupled to the flap and grill retainer.
Cette invention concerne un évent apte à recouvrir une ouverture formée dans une structure pour empêcher l'eau ou les débris de pénétrer à l'intérieur de la structure à travers l'ouverture. Ledit évent peut se déplacer entre une position fermée et une position ouverte de façon à empêcher ou permettre sélectivement la communication fluidique entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur de la structure.
