OVERHEAD GUIDE TRACK SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATED MATERIAL HANDLING
An overhead guide track system for automated material handling and storage facilities wherein at least one transfer unit is suspended from carriages that travel along the track system, the track system including a plurality of first and second support beams being assembled in an X-Y manner such that the first and second support beams intersect with one another in perpendicular relationship and wherein each of the first and second support beams includes a horizontal flange connected to a central vertical web, each of the vertical webs of the first and second beams having opposite ends connected to vertically oriented pedestals at a plurality of intersections of the first and second support beams and which pedestals support transfer plates over which the carriages are supported as the carriages pass over open gaps between the horizontal flanges at the intersections of the first and second support beams.
La présente invention concerne un système de voies de guidage suspendues destiné à la manutention automatique des matériaux et aux installations de stockage, au moins une unité de transfert étant suspendue à des chariots qui se déplacent le long du système de voies, le système de voies comprenant une pluralité de premières et de secondes poutres de support assemblées selon un modèle X-Y de telle sorte que les premières et les secondes poutres de support se croisent les unes avec les autres dans une relation perpendiculaire, et chacune des premières et des secondes poutres de support comprenant une bride horizontale reliée à une bande verticale centrale, chacune des brides verticales des premières et secondes poutres ayant des extrémités opposées reliées à des socles orientés verticalement au niveau d'une pluralité d'intersections des premières et des secondes poutres de support, et ces socles soutenant des plaques de transfert de support sur lesquelles les chariots sont soutenus lorsque les chariots passent sur des espaces ouverts entre les brides horizontales au niveau des intersections des premières et des secondes poutres de support.
