A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The Shower Water Flow Controller (SWFC), the Invention, is designed to save water during the Showering process. During a Shower, water is only required to wet one's body and hair, and then to rinse these areas. In the meantime, during lathering, shampooing and washing, water is literally going down the drain and wasted. The SWFC allows the user to stop the water flow at any time and for any length of time, simply by pressing on a devise with their foot. When the water flow resumes, by lifting one's foot, it is at the same temperature and volume as it was previously. This process can be repeated as often as the user requires. The SWFC consists of two pieces; one, a Flow Controller device which is connected between the water out flow pipe and the showerhead. This device can easily and readily be connected by simply removing the showerhead and screwing the device to the out flow pipe, and then screwing the showerhead to the device. The second piece is an accordion ball-like device that rests on the floor of the shower and is connected to the Flow Controller device by a small diameter air tube. This second device can be referred to as the Air Controller.
