THRESHOLD ASSEMBLY FOR OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR
A threshold assembly spans the bottom side of an overhead door opening in a building structure. The assembly includes a top plate, a nosing plate extending downwardly from the front edge of the top plate and a rear flange extending downwardly from the top plate at a location spaced rearwardly of the nosing plate such that: (i) an insulating cavity spans an underside of the top plate between the nosing plate and the rear flange forwardly of the front end of the concrete floor slab, (ii) the rear flange is in proximity to the front end of a concrete floor slab of the building, and (iii) the top plate protrudes rearwardly beyond the rear flange overtop of an upper surface of the front end of the floor slab.
