SYSTEM OF DEPLOYABLE STRUCTURES WITH STRAIGHT BARS FOR DOMES
The following invention aims at the construction of deployable domes or shells with straight bars of equal articulated dimension, stabilized with a flexible or rigid architectural covering. The system as a whole can be closed in a linear compact manner and deployed or opened to form a light and habitable shell. The process is defined as quick assembly. The system offers efficient solutions to temporary shelters, portable greenhouses, scenarios for medium and large scale events, and everything related to light and transformable architecture. The basis of the invention is in the method of transforming the icosahedron. The simple module consists of 6 pairs of articulated bars, grouped in a hexagonal base. The deployable system consists of hexagonal modules interconnected with each other, with a single degree of freedom. This means that the movement is synchronized.
