AN ELECTRONIC TWO-WHEELER LOCK
An electronic two-wheeler lock can comprise a latch element that is movable between an open position and a closed position, a blocking mechanism that blocks the latch element in a latched state against departing from the closed position and releases it for a departure from the closed position in an unlatched state, an electric drive unit that is configured to move the blocking mechanism into the unlatched state, and a control unit that is configured to control the drive unit. In accordance with the invention, such a two-wheeler lock has a modular structure and comprises a drive module and a communication unit, with the drive module comprising a module housing in which at least the blocking mechanism, the drive unit, and the control unit are received to protect them from mechanical effects from the outside and which delineates the drive module with respect to the communication unit and optionally with respect to further modules of the two-wheeler lock. The control unit is here configured to receive control signals from the communication unit in encrypted form and to control the drive unit in response to the control signals.
