This is a folding wind resistant fence. The fence can be fixed by the rope on a tree trunk nearby or the stake. This invention will effectively prevent trash cans from flying away due to strong wind or being pushed down by animals. At the same time, it is easily transformable and would not cause inconvenience to the sanitation workers. This wind resistant fence is environmentally friendly and beneficial for maintaining the streets clean. It will fold into a rectangular prism when unused, convenient for carrying. This folding wind resistant fence consists of: a frame constructed by four pairs of cross-linking poles, each pair on one side, enclosing a square shape in bird's eye view; each pair of poles are connected by a rivet; the ends of the poles join the adjacent ends by connecting them with a base(see figure 3 and 4). Bases are classified into 2 types: the bottom bases and the top bases. Bottom bases are the four bases used on the bottom ends, and the top bases are the four bases used on the top ends. The bottom bases will connect with its diagonal bottom base by rope. The top bases will connect with its adjacent top bases, creating a square wrap. All bases are connected by ropes to maximize stability. The length of the ropes can be adjusted to achieve folding or adapt the size of the trash can. Further, a cable will have one end locked around any pole; another end will be fixed on to a tree trunk or attached to a stake which inserting in the ground. That prevents the fence itself from flying away.
