The invention relates to a connector (1) for transversely screwing together two workpieces (2, 3), comprising a main body (4) having a base surface (5), a parallel cover surface (6) and a substantially generally cylindrical casing surface (7) connecting same and for interlockingly introducing into a generally cylindrical blind hole (8) of one of the workpieces (2, 3), as well as comprising a first borehole (9) for a screw (10), passing through the main body (4) at an acute angle (a) to the base and cover surfaces (5, 6), and at least two second boreholes (11) for a respective further screw (12), flanking the first borehole (9) and passing through the main body (4) approximately perpendicular to the base and cover surfaces (5, 6).
