JACKETED INSULATION WITH EMBEDDED STEEL MESH
This invention outlines a method of steel mesh reinforcement between the jacket and the fire protection ductwrap insulation to ensure that the installation is better reinforced and able to withstand the heat of a fire and also to more effectively protect the insulated duct both before and during a building fire in applications such as a commercial kitchen grease duct. The steel rnesh also provides a single component installation as opposed to installing the ductwrap and then installing steel mesh afterwards saving both installation time and labour costs.
