A floating-type base isolation system (100) includes: a liquid storage portion (110) storing liquid (114); a floating structure (120) floated and arranged on the liquid (114); and a gas accommodation space (132) formed at a position in contact with the liquid (114) and accommodating gas (134). A volume of the gas accommodation space (132) is set based on a natural frequency of a system that responds to a seismic wave propagating in fluid including the liquid (114) and the gas (134).
