REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURES FOR TENSIONLESS CONCRETE PIER FOUNDATIONS AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTING THE SAME
A method of pressure grouting for soil stabilization around an existing tensionless concrete pier foundation to increase a lateral bearing capacity of surrounding soil and increase skin friction around a perimeter of the pier foundation, the method comprising: driving a grout emitting pipe to a desired soil depth adjacent a base of the pier foundation; and pressure grouting to several hundred psi at 5 ft intervals as the grout emitting pipe is lifted upwardly.
