The dry-mixed polyphenyl granule thermal insulation mortar is prepared from the following components including cement, fly ash, expanded polystyrene foam granules, river sands, methylcellulose, guar gum ether, wood fibers, a water reducing agent, an early strength agent and calcium nitrite, wherein relative to 100 parts by weight of the river sand, the content of the cement is 15-25 parts, the content of the fly ash is 10-15 parts, the content of the expanded polystyrene foam granule is 5-8 parts, the content of the methylcellulose is 3-6 parts, the content of the guar gum ether is 4-7 parts, the content of the wood fiber is 2-7 parts, the content of the water reducing agent is 0.3-0.5 part, the content of the early strength agent is 0.5-0.8 part, and the content of the calcium nitrite is 1-3 parts. The dry-mixed polyphenyl granule thermal insulation mortar is excellent in both compressive strength and thermal insulation performance.
