The invention discloses a stay cable type steel plate shear wall. The stay cable type steel plate shear wall comprises an embedded steel plate and a concrete frame, wherein the embedded steel plate is a thin steel plate, two steel support pillars are respectively welded at two ends of the embedded steel plate, the upper end and the lower end of each steel support pillar are fixed on an upper frame beam and a lower frame beam of the concrete frame through high strength bolts, an upper through hole and a lower through hole are formed in the middle of each steel support pillar, a pre-stressing cable passes through all the through holes in the steel support pillars, and two ends of the pre-stressing cable are respectively fixed on the upper frame beam and the lower frame beam through connection ear plates. The stay cable type steel plate shear wall is high in support intensity, good in shock resistance and high in ductility, obtains a full energy consumption hysteretic loop, and is a superior multipurpose lateral force resistance energy consumption member.
