A fiber-optic padlock system comprises a lock body and a main unit. The lock body is internally provided with a signal transmission controller, an operation setting module, a detection module, a power management module and an antenna; the signal transmission controller comprises a transmitter module and a controller module; the operation setting module is connected to the signal transmission controller; the detection module is used for detecting signals of the signal transmission controller; the power management module is used for powering the signal transmission controller; the detection module is in fiber-optic communication with the signal transmission controller. The main unit is in communication with a fiber-optic padlock. By the use of the fiber-optic padlock system and the anti-theft method thereof, the technical problem that a user of a mechanical lock is not timely reminded of theft of the mechanical lock, causing property loss, is solved.
