The invention discloses an electromagnetic metamorphic multi-connecting rod controllable excavating mechanism with a bucket retaining mechanism. The excavating mechanism comprises a frame, a large arm swinging mechanism, a bucket rod lifting mechanism, a bucket retaining mechanism and electromagnetic locking devices, wherein the large arm swinging mechanism comprises a large arm and a swinging mechanism; the bucket rod lifting mechanism comprises a bucket rod and a lifting mechanism; the bucket retaining mechanism comprises a bucket and a retaining mechanism; the electromagnetic locking devices are mounted on revolute pairs; an initiative metamorphic function is realized through electromagnetic locking of the revolute pairs. The excavating mechanism adopts a connecting rod transmission mechanism to replace conventional hydraulic transmission, and can overcome the defects that hydraulic systems of hydraulic excavators are complex, and easy in oil leak; as the electromagnetic locking devices are adopted on the revolute pairs, initiative metamorphism can be conducted according to different working conditions; not only is the flexibility of hydraulic excavators provided, but also three degrees of freedom excavation operation can be realized by utilizing two driving rods; the manufacturing cost of an excavating mechanism is reduced; the excavating mechanism is suitable for manufacturing various excavating machines and other engineering machineries.
