The invention discloses an operating platform for curved surface structural decoration and a construction method. The operating platform comprises an upper movable rack mounted on the curved surface structure, and a platform underframe hung on the upper movable rack, wherein pulleys are arranged on the upper movable rack, and are arranged on the curved surface structure in a sliding manner. The upper movable rack is assembled on the curved surface structure on site, the platform underframe at the lower part is used for bearing an operator to perform facing painting on the lower surface of the curved surface structure, the upper movable rack is in sliding connection with the curved surface structure through the pulleys, and a traction device, such as a small hoist, is adopted for providing pulling force so as to pull the upper movable rack to slide along the curved surface structure; therefore, the purpose that the whole facing painting of the curved surface structure is realized, and the construction is safe and convenient.
