The invention discloses a door arranged on a building, and particularly relates to a free retractable door. The free retractable door comprises two door columns and a group of door sashes, wherein the door sashes are arranged between the two door columns; a track is arranged between the two door columns; travelling rollers move on the track and are arranged between the door sashes and the track; the length values of the door sashes are consistent in the direction of a connecting line between the two door columns; positioning racks are respectively arranged on at least two door sashes of each three door sashes, are arranged between the door sashes and the traveling rollers, and are fixed at middle points on the bottom sides of the door sashes; the traveling rollers are arranged on the positioning racks; a thrust bearing is arranged between each positioning rack and the bottom side of the corresponding door sash; inner space for accommodating the folded door sashes is formed in each door column; and the track extends into the inner space. By the free retractable door, the shortcoming that the cost of consumable items of a free retractable door in the prior art is high is overcome, the door sashes can stretch out and draw back without the aid of a four-bar linkage, and the cost of consumable items is low.
