Abrasive grain containing a first face without vertices and a second face with vertices
The invention relates firstly to an abrasive grain (110) with a surface having at least a first face (120) with a first outline (121), and at least one second face (125) with a second outline (126). The first outline (121) does not contain any vertex, but the second outline (126) contains at least one vertex (127). The abrasive grain (110) may comprise a ceramic material, especially polycrystalline alpha-Al2O3. Additionally disclosed are collectives of abrasive grains (110), methods for producing abrasive grains (110), casting moulds, abrasive articles, methods for producing abrasive articles and methods for grinding a surface.
