The invention relates to a novel formwork support, comprising a base, a pillar and a cable-stayed post; the base is of a plate structure; one end of the base is provided with a base slideway connection stage, and the other end of the base is provided with a base support connection stage; the pillar comprises a pillar front end and a pillar rear end; the pillar rear end is embedded into the pillar front end to form a whole; the cable-stayed post comprises a cable-stayed post front end and a cable-stayed post rear end; the cable-stayed post rear end is embedded into the cable-stayed post front end to form a whole; the base and the pillar front end are fixed together by a bolt; the base and the cable-stayed post front end are fixed together by the slideway connection stage; the pillar rear end and the cable-stayed post rear end are fixed together by a bolt.
