The invention discloses a manufacturing method of a thin ceramic wafer for decoration. The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing a cast iron mold base for dry pressing; (2) preparing a dry pressing head and a dry pressing support; (3) installing the cast iron mold base, dry pressing head and dry pressing support; (4) preparing a ceramic wafer blank; and (5) processing the ceramic wafer blank. The ceramic wafer body is prepared from high white clay; the thickness a is less than or equal to 1mm; and the ceramic wafer can be well attached to leatherware as a label, thereby achieving the goals of low cost, convenient operation and high working efficiency.
