The invention relates to a device for improving the horizontal anti-seismic property of a T-shaped concrete beam bridge. The device comprises the T-shaped bridge beam. Rib brace pairs are arranged on the T-shaped beam at intervals in the direction of the bridge. Each rib brace pair is made of steel plates. Connection plates are arranged on the combined surfaces of the T-shaped beam and the rib braces and used for connecting the rib brace pairs and the T-shaped concrete beam. The invention further relates to a construction method of the device. The device has the advantages of being simple in structure and convenient to construct.
