The invention discloses a water transfer method for solving problems of water shortage and dike shortage of downstream of the Yellow River and aims to solve problems that water shortage and dike shortage of downstream of the Yellow River exist, perched river of the downstream of the Yellow River occurs, no water is transferred to a Danjing canal in dry years, water of a reservoir of the three gorges can not automatically flow to a Danjiangkou reservoir and can not be transferred to north China, water qualities of the Danjiangkou reservoir are affected if water in the reservoir of the three gorges is transferred to the Danjiangkou reservoir, and water shortage of middle and downstream areas of Han River occurs. According to the technical scheme, upstream water of the Yellow River is prevented from flowing to shansi and shaanxi gorge area as far as possible, water of reservoir of the three gorges is transferred to a Wangfuzhou reservoir so as to replace water flow that is discharged from the Danjiangkou reservoir to the Wangfuzhou reservoir, and the replaced Danjiangkou reservoir water is transferred to the downstream of the Yellow River. Attached figures are designed so as to help people to understand design positions of a Xianggu canal (15) and a Danhuang canal (6).
