The invention discloses a concrete-filled steel tube column body of a building and a building method thereof. The column body is arranged in a bearing position of the building and is connected with more than two self-heat-insulation wall faces different in directions; the column body is characterized by comprising direction-changing mould shell building blocks, steel tubes, heat insulation plates and exterior greening building blocks, wherein the direction-changing mould shell building blocks are provided with building blocks which extend in more than two directions from a substrate to form support arms; a plurality of axially-penetrated insertion holes are formed in the direction-changing mould shell building blocks; convex ribs and grooves are formed in the peripheries of the insertion holes; the steel tubes are hollow tubes; holes are formed in the overall steel tubes; the steel tubes are inserted into the insertion holes; concrete is poured into the steel tubes and is used for overflowing the insertion holes for shaping; the heat insulation plates and the exterior greening building blocks are built on the outer sides of the direction-changing mould shell building blocks. By virtue of the application of the technical scheme, the anti-seismic properties of the buildings at the designed heights, the beautification flexibility of exterior well of the column body and the convenience of building construction are improved; the labor intensity is low; meanwhile, the consumption of the steel tubes and the concrete is reduced; the transportation and construction costs of the building materials are reduced.
