Method and apparatus for generating electricity by using river water
A method for generating electricity by using river water. A platform (2) or water floating pontoon (2) is constructed over river water (1) in a river or an artificial river flowing all the year, and an axle head of a water impeller is disposed on an upper surface of the platform (2). A water impeller (3) is submerged in the river water (1) and rotates under the driving of the flowing river water (1), thereby triggering a speed change gear (5) on the axle head to drive an electric generator (6) to generate electricity. An electricity generation apparatus using river water can be disposed in a water flow at a bank of a river, a center of the river, and any position where a water flow exists such as an artificial canal, a reservoir, or a lake hydropower station, and river water power sources output by the apparatus are used for power generation in the river water or self-force water pumping in the river water.
