The invention mainly relates to an external wall surface leveling material in building construction, which is particularly applied to external wall surfaces made of cement mortar and mixed mortar. The external wall putty powder comprises the following materials in parts by mass: 20 to 40 parts of a glutinous rice powder, 6 to 8 parts of cellulose, 10 to 20 parts of an emulsion powder, 400 to 500 parts of a heavy calcium carbonate powder, 300 to 500 parts of cement, 450 to 600 parts of arenaceous quartz (200-mesh), and 5 to 10 parts of plant fiber. The external wall putty powder is innocuous, harmless, environmentally friendly, and further has the characteristics that the external wall putty powder is white, exquisite, good in construction workability, high in strength, good in water resistance and anti-crack.
